Definitions

I have a whole language that I use with my little friends and our dog. I thought that I would create a page to out line the terms and the meanings of these terms for the average reader, look at it like this, the gang might know what a crimbe is but do you?

Car Ride

Exactly that a car ride, get in the car making sure all the seats are covered in blankets, let the cockatiel's out of the cumbi, then drive around a little while for social, relax, fun,... reasons. Check out the looks from passers by. They can't believe their eyes.

Child

The Child, is a baby cockatiel, ie Coco's child is exactly what it is, one of Coco's children and he and Soms have had 30 so far. If I said to Coco where is your Child ? He is bright enough to twig the child is lost and help me look for it, a common happening when we were still living in the flat and the baby Cockatiel's were learning to fly, if we could not find the child, I would accuse him of losing the child and this would cause a flurry of searching and calling.

Crimbe

A sin or a crime, but my logic is that they cannot sin and neither can they commit crimes, so to fill the gap I have created a crimbe, that way they will not be tarnished with accusations of sins or crimes things that people do. Trust me they know what a crimbe is. If I say "this is the hideous crimbe" they all pay attention.

Fluttering and Flewing

Also a crimbe, the individual tiel will start fluttering their wings and then take off and fly across the room or out my bedroom door etc, it is a crimbe because it is infections if unchecked they all start fluttering and flewing, and then I have to go around the house and look for Cockatiels and return them to the room.

Illegal Egg

Also a crimbe, eggs laid with out permission is a hideous crimbe, there are many reasons, but the main one is there is no pet for the child. ie no home to go to. Good homes are difficult to find. Good caring pets are very difficult to find. Eggs laid with out permission are frowned upon and the guilty party is loudly picked out and a lot of noise is made. Trust me on that one. The guilty party gets very apologetic and they know this is not tolerated. In contrast a legal egg is welcomed and the parents are congratulated and a big approving fuss is made.

Pet

A pet, that is you. If you have not twigged yet, the cockatiel in your house own's you. You have become a pet to birds.

Owner

Owner that is not you, is them they own you and your better believe it. You are owned by a birds.

Taxi

Communal transport for little birds, we have a cat box a metal wire one that serves as a Taxi here to the bird office or return to the house. They have a protest noise here that means "Taxi !".

Private Transport

That is usually when they use their own feet or wings to get from a to b.

Come to Daddie

Come to me except this time I feel special, loved and wanted.

Company Transport

This is when, our Compuany Compu-Doc our jointly owned business providing them with transport, to appointments that little birds can have, or as simple as my giving them a lift on my hand or sholder where they want to go to.

Kombi

Pay Tax

Aha! Paying Tax, this is the one I like, they can pay sin tax, love tax, and a multitude of taxes that we as people pay. For little birds it means simply this, stand still and be kissed or loved up.

Flewing the Floor

This is anouther of the range of hedious crimbes, little birds on the floor are a danger to themselves and us. They can get trodden on and there has been some very close shaves.

Cockatiel Act of 1995

Simply the lore of the land here. We are unwittingly governed buy this Cockatiel act. In terms of the cockatiel act of 1995 I am entitled to ..... therefore you the cockatiel have to provide company or allow me to scratch your head or you the cockatiel person are entitled to have your head scrached on demand etc,

Kisses

I demand my kisses,ie I demand my nibbles or the cockatiel version of kisses.I get them too!

Pay Kombi Fare

This is demanded after I have put them into their "Day Office" in the morning. I pick each one up and say "Pay Kombi Fare" and then I am allowed to give them a kiss. Pay Kombi Fare - Pay a cab fare same thing

A slice of Fresh White

This is part of their rations every day. On our way past the kitchen in the morning I get a slice of fresh white or brown from the fridge and issue it to them in their office.

I also give them sometime a slice to them at night for the nibbles. I ask who's hungery and if I get a postivive responce I will get them a slice. They have as a matter of course water and "cockatiel" food out for them. But this is considered an extra or treat.

Social Sitting

Social Sitting, this when we go and social sit together, we just sit together keep each other company. Nothing more or less required. I find it very soothing to social sit.

Seeeping

Literly sleeping, only done with cats, you can't go a seeeping with out cats. Because Cats want to seeep with us all the time they are subject to detention with out meeeow(detention with out trial), and are detained in thier room which is warm and comfortable, and is done to keep them away from the tiels.

Spray Millet

Millet Spray -- Sweets for little birds.

Uppies a Cuppies My Little Little Love

A nice way of saying "up" especially if the tiel is on the floor.
