Jesus promiced us what ever we ask in his name will be granted, we do ask in his Jesus's name every oppotunity we get to pray for Soms to be returned to us.
Here is the biblical quote.
JOHN 14:13-14
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
Jesus also promices us in Matthew 18:19-20
19 Again, truly I tell you, if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.
20 For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them." (NRSV)
We pray in Jesus's name when we ask for her return, and many times I have gathered those around me to ask for her return.
Why my prayer has never been answered thus far is a mystery to me. Because I honestly expect that my prayer would be answered.
Marietha Harding a dear friend pointed out rightly that I have been hansomly compensated with the gifts of Shenanigans and Sheena Jane and yes I would agree that is true.
Soms is Soms and belongs here at home with us. I would like her to be returned to us so we can get on with our lives again.
Neil Naicker a very good friend of mine and I talked this lack of responce over many times, he made an intersting point in that he I don't understand why it takes so long for prayers to be answered. He should know he together some of his friends started off a church together.
I figure Soms is now 10 years old in 2007 she could live to 25 to 30 if looked after properly, that means there is some point to keep asking for the next 15 to 20 or so years.
By which time she will have returned to Jesus and the Angles.
After that there will be no point in continuing to petition for her return.
