Introduction
This site is dedicated to my happy little companions of which I have six, it's set out to honour each of them in their own unique way for each one is very special and share with you what we all share together the love; devotion, the good times and close companionship my little companions share with me. The fact that we go almost every where together were practical and possible. In many ways I feel God blessed me with them. I see each one as a unique blessing from God. Well another way I see it I am now owned by six Cockatiels, or consider this, maybe I am the pet or personal servant and chauffeur to six Cockatiels!
Birthdays
We celebrate their birthdays with them, as I am not sure of many of their hatch dates or even their past histories, we define the day they arrive here as their birthday. I am sure that they have no idea what is going on but enjoy the treats and the fun. We treat it as a special day and spoil them with mealies (corn), spray millet, treats and lots of extra love and attention.

The Working Week
Monday to Friday
What we do Bird People (Owners)
Apart from sitting around all day calling for attention, eating and sleeping, we sit with our pet for periods in morning and when our pet returns from visiting clients. from our room we can see the people as they work and answer the telephone. We like to create bird noise especially when it is least appreciated, for example when the phones ring. We also greet visitors we know when they walk in through the door.

Birds at their Office. The funny colour comes from the double
tinting on the windows to keep the heat out and prevent
local kites and hawks from looking in.
What we do Human-People (Pets)
I own a business together with the Cockatiels, who are introduced to visitors as the company directors. We enjoy what we do, although it gets a bit hectic at times.
The birds (Directors) on their way into their office. They are taking what is considered company transport.
Part of the joys of my day is the tiel's.
Everyday before we start here I sit with them tiel's and we just sit together while I have my early morning tea. We enjoy on another's company. By the time I get up from chair, I am covered in birds and have to be very careful how I move. In the afternoon when I come home if I am lucky they will hear me downstairs or my car, then there is shrieks of joy and I have to move it to get inside before they cause too much of a disturbance.
Types of Transport
Company Transport
This could be my arm or my hand or shoulder. The bird taxi (a converted cat box). Or the use of any one of our company vehicles used to taxi them to various locations, e.g.. my mom's or the vet's.
We have two bird Taxi's. This is our to and from Car transporter. Little birds are placed in here to take them to and from the car. Once in the car they are let out. At our destination they climb back in on the own or are put back in and tranceported to their appointment. Be it the vet's or some other social engaugement little birds might have. The taxi is a very effective way of preventing starteld take offs and other harrowing Company Transport-Our Bird Taxi Private Transport
This is when they elect to walk themselves to work usually after oversleeping. A trip from one part of our home office to another part of our home office. Or they choose to try fly with clipped wings from location to location. Cherie is very independently minded and prefers to use her private transport. Morning rush hour for birds(Directors),this is after being dropped off by Company Transport
Weekends
Pancakes Bush formally Chew Bush
This bush was renamed Pancake Bush to honour my little loving friend who departed on 8 January 1998.
Cherie; Blanche and Coco in Pancake's Bush at my Mom's in Sea Park.
Pancake's Bush(Yesterday today and tomorrow) named so because it was Pancakes favourite spot and now her final resting place. It is designated their official weekend refuge from the busy business world in Durban. Here they relax (from work related executive stress) for the weekend while I visit my family. The Famous Pancake Bush
Pancake is buried where the bricks are shaped like a heart . While they are in Pancake Bush I come
out from time to time and do a check up on them, i.e. head count, check food, water etc. If they look too relaxed I tease them and say to them, I know you lot are pretending to be wild birds but don't worry your lunch will be served shortly. Just shout and I will bring it out for you. Their reply is I just get looked at. Obviously no comment. You see absolute unconditional love, they even come and join me in the bathroom when I have a bath. Unconditional Love.
You see what I get in return, nothing but unconditional love, they love me, I am never allowed out of their sight, they come to join me in the kitchen, when I go and bath they demand to come with me, causing a riot if I ignore them and they will use their private transport to come and join me. This even goes to me getting dressed they want to be there too. They insist on sleeping next to me at night. The solution was to build a sleeping perch next my bed or they would sleep on my bed in my bed. I am spoiled with unconditional love from my happy little companions for the little love I give them just look at what I get in return!
They insist on sleeping next to my bed, on my bed is the preferred spot or my pillow is prime estate. So a sleeping stand is the compromise just another example of unconditional love from little birds.
Unconditional love, this time they are pretending to keep an eye on me in the kitchen while they have a go at my plants. In the mean time I prepare something. You see, I am never allowed to be alone, in case they miss out on some forbidden delight or my dinner.
