First to complain. First to make a fuss. First to demand to go to bed. Does not like to be seen t be social, does not like socialise unless the room is dark enough for her to sleep in. Cherie is very independently minded. Very much her own boss and has a strong personality.

Cherie I am sure would like me to go away, far away ,very are away, how far can I get our of her space. In her world I am tolorated, used when needed, demanded of, but never shown affection, she would rather die than tell me she loves me. If I tell her "I love you" she will look at me like I am some kind of liar. It is just that look. You ! I know you!

Blanche - Her main friend they always sleep next to one another
Coco - He keeps out of the way as she bites him. She likes to sit with him however.

She has tried very hard, done rounds of eggs with her friend Blanche but as there is no male. No children.

Cherie is basically a replacement for Pancake. After Pancake went to the rainbow bridge. We where all suffering the loss. Yes even the tiels. Blanche took a quite knock and stopped eating. As I could not stand the thought of loosing her too. That would have been the bitter end for me. I figured a Cinnamon hen is about R 75. If getting one will get my darling Blanche would go back eating, the price would be very very cheap.

I went to my favourite pet shop Durban Pets and there saw I Cherie. After I left the shop I could not get her out of my head talk about bugging my brains wow! I eventually realised that, things being what things are, what is meant to be is meant to be. The next day I went to collect her. As skittish and as wild as she is.

When Blanche saw her she thought her old friend was back and was overjoyed. Poor Cherie was convinced we where going to make stew out of her. Blanche promptly latched on poor little Cherie.

I battled to tame Cherie she was wild wild and bit me and bit me. That my hands where red from the mercurochrome that was applied to all the bite marks.

Over years and we are only part way there. She wants me on her own terms. She will sit on me only or come to me if it suits her.

She knows her name if you call Cherie she always answers with her unique little peep. I call Cherie and she answers with her chirp.

The term Madam applies to Cherie. She is a prim and proper Miss. I love her dearly she is very special to me.

If pick up Cherie and love her up and tell Cherie that I love her she looks at me like you professional liar. Its that look! It amounts to "This thing, he is well known around here for lying to the girls". But she is still my love.

She is bright and knows her name if you call Cherie she always answers with her unique little peep. If you call her and then tell I love you she answers with a Chirp which is one of the joys of my life.

Cherie some times fly's to my bed to join Blanche but this is rare. She will sit on my pillow or on the side of my bed and wait for me to stir while sorting out her feathers.

She likes to hang out with Somnatieland Coco they like to duck under my bed in the morning for some extra kip. She frequently misses the Bus to work and has to take private transport to work.

Cherie comes and sit with me in the morning every morning. The problem here is she wants to be collected on her own. She takes private transport and shouts for me to collect her or some other obliging soul.
